Who We Are
The United Way of Metropolitan Chicago is a program sponsor of the collaborative, Greater Bronzeville Neighborhood Network. This collaboration, which has more than 30 partners, is led by Bright Star Community Outreach. The initial goal of the GBNN was to strengthen the workforce; as the coalition has developed, the emphasis has shifted to be more comprehensive as we seek to increase access to community programs and opportunities that reduce violence and promote healthy living for both adolescents and adults.
Through our collective impact efforts, our coalition has connected nearly 4,200 Greater Bronzeville residents ages 16-55 to jobs that contribute to household sustainability.
